The Twyshe Messenger is an output of the study "Closing HIV and reproductive health gaps: an mhealth peer-delivered intervention for high-risk young women in Zambia".

The app provides the public with resources and information about Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) health. You can access this information under resources and facilities in the app. For Zambian residents, the app also shows government health facilities and private organizations which offer these services including their locations. It also contains a built-in map which displays the location of each facility and the specific services offered by that facility i.e. Contraception, PrEP, Menstrual, etc.

The app provides additional features for participants in the study such as discussion forums where participants and trained peer navigators employed by the study can chat anonymously about a wide variety of health topics. It also allows the participant to chat with and receive messages and materials via the app from their dedicated peer navigator.

This research study is being undertaken in Zambia and Karen Hampanda, PhD, MPH, University of Colorado is the Primary Investigator.

Participation in the study is completely voluntary and participants can withdraw at any time. Required documents for the study such as consent forms and ethical approvals from both the University of Colorado and University of Zambia Biomedical Research Ethics Committee (UNZBREC) are available.
